This is where it all began...

Casey and I met at Southeastern.  We have all of our memories together here. In fact, every inch of campus tells our story.  Casey asked me to marry him in the spot pictured above, just a few feet away from where we said our vows last March.  This place bears witness to what God has done in bringing us together—every walk, conversation and prayer time has shaped our relationship and moves us forward.  There is so much I could say about us, but I’ll refrain from sappiness (Go here for more sap: WeddingPage).

It is familiar here, safe even, and that is the very reason we cannot stay here forever.

In a little over a week, Casey and I will leave our first home, our little seminary duplex, for the last time.  I don’t much like moving.  In fact, I have an ardent disdain for it (is that close enough to hate without saying hate?) It’s hard to leave places and people I love.  It’s hard to leave memories behind.  This may be the most difficult place to leave, but I ultimately know in moving that something new and exciting waits on the other side.

As much as I despise moving, I have a far greater joy for new adventures, new places, and new starts.

This time next month we will be living in Northern Ireland.  There is so much unknown in this move, and yet we cannot wait to start the next chapter…
